Kelly McKeekin

Kelly A. McMeekin was born in Palo Alto, California, in 1965. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Occidental College in 1987, then attended law school at Golden Gate University. While in law school, Kelly was a Judicial Extern at the California Supreme Court and a member of the Golden Gate University Law Review. She wrote the law note, "In re the Marriage of Watt " and " Wise vs. Superior Court" (Survey of California Law Notes, Women's Law Forum, 1990). Kelly received the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Law and was listed on the National Dean's List. She graduated from law school with honors and was admitted to practice law in California in 1992. Since then, she has represented injured consumers and their families in a variety of personal injury and wrongful death actions. She has significant experience in toxic tort litigation, including the handling of products liability cases involving exposure to beryllium. In addition, she has represented numerous individuals injured by the medical negligence of physicians and their staff. In 1995 Kelly was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California; in 1996, to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th Circuit; and in 2000, the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. Kelly is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and Consumer Attorneys of California.
