Young S. Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society from the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating in 1993. She studied law at Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco. While she was a law student, she worked for the San Francisco County Public Defender's Office, representing indigent individuals; and for the California Appellate Project, representing prisoners on death row. She received an American Jurisprudence Award for outstanding achievement in Criminal Procedure, and graduated in 1996 with a law degree and a Certificate of Specialization in Civil Litigation. Young is a member of the State Bar of California, and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
After law school, Young worked for the Brayton Purcell lawfirm, which represents people injured by asbestos exposure. At Brayton Purcell, she managed a large and quickly-moving caseload consisting exclusively of the firm's highest priority cases. She did everything associated with the cases, including depositions and court appearances. She next joined Gaw. Van Male, Smith, Myers & Mirolglio in Fairfield, California, and worked within their business litigation department. In February of 2000, Young joined Paul & Hanley, LLP.
As a Managing Attorney of Paul & Hanley, Young is responsible for managing case progression for all San Francisco cases from intake to trial. She is in charge of moving the preference cases quickly to trial, attending Group Status Conferences, and making sure all deadlines are met. She is also a resource for many within the office.
