The number of people diagnosed with asbestos caused diseases in the U.S. continues to increase. Experts believe 60,000 mesothelioma deaths will occur between 2010 and 2030.

Campbell Filmer was born in New South Wales in the Outback of Australia.  He graduated from Purchase College - State University of New York with a degree in psychology and New York Law School with a law degree. While in law school, he interned at the Legal Aid Society, the Unemployment Action Center, and the New York Law School Tax Assistance Program.  Based on these contributions he was awarded a Public Service Award by the law school.

Advocate Mines et. al., LASC Case No. BC436063 , which resulted in a $5 million verdict.
