Description of Case:  James Morrison is a 52-year-old HVAC mechanic from Post Falls, Idaho who was exposed to asbestos from Copeland refrigeration compressors while performing maintenance on Copeland compressors during the 1970s and 80s in Fresno, CA.  Mr. Morrison never smoked cigarettes.

Resolution:  $5,150,000 verdict against Copeland and others.

Economic damages:  $2,526,000 for Mr. James Morrison 

Non-economic:  $2,250,000 for Mr. James Morrison, $375,000 for his wife Mrs. Sandra Morrison.  Copeland was found to be 12.4% responsible for the damages to James and Sandra Morrison.
