The number of people diagnosed with asbestos caused diseases in the U.S. continues to increase. Experts believe 60,000 mesothelioma deaths will occur between 2010 and 2030.

Selby Lighthill

Selby Lighthill grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, received his B.A. from the University of Chicago, and earned his law degree from U.C. Hastings College of the Law.  While in law school Selby, clerked with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, was a member of the Communication and Entertainment Law Journal, and co-founded the Hastings Law and Politics Review. Selby next worked on consumer protection class action cases and represented low-income tenants facing eviction in San Francisco.  

At Paul & Hanley LLP, Selby serves as trial counsel on personal injury and wrongful death cases.  Recent accomplishments include receiving jury verdicts in three asbestos-related lawsuits, with awards ranging from $1 million to $8 million.
